Pack Meeting Raided By Pirates!

Cubmaster Confronted

Another boring pack meeting was severely disrupted when a crew of scurvy pirates broke into the November meeting of pack 319 in La Mesa. The pirates held Cubmaster, Lance Jones, at bay with swords and blunderbuses at the ready as they made off with the Cub Scouts awards which they had mistaken for treasure.

The Cubmaster regained control of the meeting and managed to go on with the planned program despite the missing awards. After sending the den leaders in search of the pirates, he brought the boys up for their skits. Just as each den finished, their den leaders managed to capture the pirate that had taken their awards and forced them back up to the front of the room.

Once there we had a little extra help keeping the pirates under control from one of our future Scouts who cowed them by roaring at them each time they tried to sneak off!

Many thanks to the Pirates of the Stranglehold for livening up our pack meeting and adding a whole new twist to the November "Cub Scout Collectors" Theme. The boys also made good use of our "Brag Table" where they display their latest accomplishments at each pack meeting. This time, the table was filled with a variety of collections from the boys of each den.
